Pet Boarding
Pet Boarding in Port Augusta
At Redgum Vet, we offer pet boarding for cats and dogs. Our trained team will provide the highest standard of safety and we ensure that our pet boarding areas are well equipped to suit your pet. Staffed 7 days a week, with Veterinary support on site, the dogs and cats receive plenty of attention!
The pets have generous air-conditioned kennel areas - dogs have inside and outside kennel areas, and then move to large exercise yards during the day.
We Let Your Pets Be Themselves.

Our team of professionals are dedicated to ensuring that your pet is comfortable and active whilst pet boarding. We understand that your pet is a part of the family and pet boarding can be a bit overwhelming for some pets. However, we will make sure that your pet is given a variety of food and their specific dietary requirements are met.
Additionally, we will make sure that they exercise and are kept clean. Before being entered into the kennels, your dog is required to have the current C5 vaccination. Additionally, we need a certificate proving so. For entry into the cattery, your cat needs the current F3 vaccinations with a vaccination certificate proving so.
We differentiate from other animal boarding locations because we allow for the dogs to interact with each other. We believe that play and socialisation are important for all animals. However, we will respect your wishes.
Committed Team for Pet Boarding Port Augusta

We will be able to provide your pet with the best care and if you have any concerns, just ask our friendly staff. Redgum Vet is renowned for providing excellent and clean boarding facilities. When you bring your pet in for the first time, we will ask you to complete a series of paperwork.
This will allow us to understand your pet’s daily life and indicates how we can best maintain their well-being and happiness whilst boarding. Our services are designed to suit your needs and we will endeavour to keep your pet happy whilst your away.

We will take good care of your pet.
We offer a variety of quality food choices, however, if your pet has specific dietary requirements you may choose to provide their own food. In this way, any changes to diet are minimised. At Redgum Vet & Pet Boarding, we promote the highest standards of health and safety for your pet, within the daily cleaning, feeding, and exercising regimes.
Dogs
We aim to let your dogs have as much time outside as possible, weather permitting. We have a number of generous exercise areas for dogs to play with carers or to run around on their own. If you nominate, your dog can be socialised with other dogs of the same size or sex. Our fences and grounds are safe and secure, with several check stations between the kennels and the front of the premises.
Cats
Cats are housed in generous indoor areas, with full access to a climbing pole so they can position themselves in an elevated position. Cats are not socialised, except within the same family.
Point of Difference
Our point of difference is that we allow dogs to act like dogs. We encourage play and socialisation. For example, during the warmer months, we use many wading pools, which the dogs love to play in. Of course, this means they may get dirty as they run and play, however, we believe exercise and play are important to the general well-being and health of all dogs. If you would prefer your pet not be included in these activities, we will respect your wishes.
SomeRequirements
We want to care for your pet in the best possible way. In order to do this, we need specific information from you.
When you bring your pet for the first time, there will be paperwork to complete. This should only take about 10 minutes but will support our staff to make sure they know all the details necessary when working with your pet.
From time to time, the staff will ask you to update this information. This will ensure any changes to your pets routine or daily life are recorded and passed on to the kennel staff.
