Dr Roger comes from a background of station life and has always been around horses. With the building of a horse specific yard area, inclusive of a crush, Dr. Roger can offer horse consults at Redgum, including pre-purchase examinations, blood tests, lameness checks, general surgery and health checks, castrations and dental procedures (excluding reproduction procedures).
Dr. Roger also has a power float to support dental work and continues to offer dental rasping.

At Redgum, we fully appreciate and understand that making an end-of-life decision is incredibly difficult. We know the bond you share with your pet is often beyond words and the information available to you, and the decision-making process, can seem like overload right at that time. That’s why we allow extra time for you to talk with your Vet and to fully explore the options available to you.
If you decide that euthanasia is the better option, our nursing and reception staff will fully support you through the process.
Redgum uses Edenhills for all of our cremation services, and Suzi at reception will guide you in your decision making around the cremation process, what is on offer to you and how it all works. She knows this is a time when you will have a lot to think about, and she will allow you all the time you need to make a choice you are comfortable with.

Pets are not always cats or dogs – at Redgum, we know this!
Our vets and nurses are highly skilled in the range of unusual and exotic pets, from kangaroos and wombats, to rabbits, rats, ferrets or snakes, and everything in between!
Dr. Roger has always had a special interest in unusual and exotic animals and continues to update his skills and knowledge in this area.
We will undertake routine vaccinations, surgery and dental care, as well as supporting owners with the necessary medications and care requirements for these special pets.

Outreach Support
Redgum Vet clinic undertakes regular support trips to local areas such as Wilmington and Quorn. Call the clinic to find out when the next trip is planned.
Cater For All Animals
At Redgum we are mainly a small animal Vet clinic. We do provide first aid to other animal species where needed. Occasionally we do provide home & Farm visits when available.
